Liverpool have today announced that AXA will be the sponsor of the new Kirby training facility.
The insurance company from France already sponsor the club’s training kit and will now sponsor the £50 million facility. This deal with AXA sees Liverpool have a training ground partner for the first time.
The current Premier League champions will move into their new facility in November. It should be noted, that the move had been delayed as a result of COVID-19.
Impressively, the new facility will come with three full-size pitches, two gyms, a full-size sports hall, pool plus more.
Liverpool FC chief executive officer Bill Hogan told Liverpoolfc.com: “The expansion of AXA’s partnership to include the naming rights of the club’s new Training Centre makes perfect sense.
“We have already seen their emphasis on driving health, wellbeing, confidence and self-belief, and so deepening their relationship in the field of training makes this partnership a great fit.”
This move signals a surge of momentum running through all departments of the club. Neutral fans will question how long it can last, but Liverpool fans will not care.
