Liverpool will "plan" how best to “advance conversations" for €60M Brazilian: Called LFC star "one of the world's best"

Ajax winger and Liverpool target, Antony, has named Trent Alexander-Arnold as one of the best defenders in the world.

The Brazilian was asked who he believes is the best defender in the world in an interview with PlayStation and UEFA.

Antony replied, "I'm going to stick with Arnold.

"He is a player I like very much and for me [is] one of the best in the world."

Trent got 19 assists in all competitions for Liverpool last season and with Darwin Nunez the new no.9 for the Reds, I fully expect the fullback to challenge for the Premier League assist record.

Thierry Henry holds the record for most assists in a single season (20) and there is no reason Trent cannot attempt to match that tally.

Antony naming him one of the best in the world is a great reflection of how highly he is regarded by other hugely talented players.

The Ajax star is actually a player that Liverpool have shown interest in with reports from Brazil reporting that talks have been held with plans to advance negotiations.

Apparently, Antony "prefers" a move to Liverpool and Manchester United".

Once Mohamed Salah's future has been resolved, the Reds will consider how best to “advance the conversations for Antony” with Ajax expecting to negotiate a price between ’50 and 60 million euros’ (£51m).
