"We have to..." Jurgen Klopp explains what he and FSG always do with transfers in the summer

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has revealed his transfer stance amidst reports that the club is finished with the window this summer.

Klopp had been speaking to the media ahead of the game against Manchester United as he gave an update on Liverpool's transfer business in midfield.

The Reds will need a positive result when they face off against the Red Devils, having faced back-to-back draws and a wave of injuries to key players.

Fans may want a new signing but they have to wait after hearing Klopp's latest comments.

Jurgen Klopp's comments

Klopp gave a detailed account of his current midfield situation - detailing his transfer stance that could have been aimed indirectly at the Fenway Sports Group.

Speaking to the media, Klopp revealed he is happy with his options: "Yes [I am happy], when they are all fit, 100 per cent. But even then we always look to strengthen, we have to and we always did.

"It must be the right player and if the right player is not available in this moment then we tend to say, ‘OK, then we deal with what we have before we sign a player who is not 100 per cent right.’ This situation never changed.

"Now we have more injuries than we would have imagined and now it would be cool to have a new midfielder in, of course – but for now, and then we don’t know when the boys come back and the situation changes constantly."

"You can just not do that and then there is another fact: I am, we are, not in charge of what we can spend. That’s the situation and we get told things and then we deal with that. It was always the same and never different.

"You can say that’s why we are here in a good understanding or that’s why we are here in a bad understanding, but that’s why we are here and that’s it."

The Reds have been linked with a move for Jude Bellingham long term, as in next summer, with talks behind-the-scenes progressing well.

With Liverpool seemingly done in the window, fans will have to pray their injured players can return to action sooner rather than later with no more incomings set for this summer.
