Report suggests Jurgen Klopp will name a controversial lineup against Bournemouth on Saturday after Man Utd shocker

Liverpool could be set to name the same line-up that lost at Manchester United with players starting after a 'disaster-class' performance.

It would be a controversial decision given the outrage from fans at the lack of fight or passion against Manchester United.

The Reds fell to Manchester United at Old Trafford in what was their first loss in the league there for over four years.

After that, the inquest into the defeat has seen players brandished as 'not good enough' or 'finished' which is a tad premature.

This Liverpool side barely loses a game and they've just had a tough start, it's only three games.

But a predicted XI from the Standard shows that Liverpool are in line to name an unchanged team ahead of their home game against Bournemouth.

Whilst the scoreline, in the end, finished 2-1, it wasn't exactly that close of a game.

Liverpool were out-worked and on the end of a United performance that may be their best for a long time.

But the manner in which they started the game will worry and there are opportunities off the bench for the likes of Fabio Carvalho, Kostas Tsimikas and even, who knows, Stefan Bajcetic too.

A good young option like Carvalho can give the team a major boost if they perform - it's infectious and it can give Liverpool a much-needed lift.

Take into account that Carvalho was good after coming on against United.

His very good volley was saved by David De Gea before Mohamed Salah on hand to tap in the save to give Liverpool hope.

He can play in midfield or on either wing, but can also play as a natural number 10 if Klopp decides to move to a 4-2-3-1.

They will dominate the ball so it is the perfect time to try it out.

Whilst fans won't have been happy with the display on Monday night, it's still a really strong eleven with bags of PL experience and quality at the back and up top.

Newly-promoted Bournemouth doesn't stand to put up much of a test against Liverpool, given they fell to a 4-0 loss against Manchester City.

It could be the perfect chance to get a win on the board and boost their confidence after what has been a stuttering start to the campaign.

Sticking with the names that have delivered time and time again is surely the safest bet, whilst it may have been tempting to start young Fabio Carvalho, this way, Harvey Elliot gets another chance to prove why he's so highly thought of against a team where they will most likely dominate the ball for long spells.

A win on the board is the most important thing, given that Manchester City are already five points ahead at this early stage but we know Liverpool can put a run together if they start to fire.
