Mo Salah agent drops contract bombshell

Liverpool are eyeing Mohamed Salah replacement

Liverpool have continued to try and convince Mohamed Salah to sign a new contract with the club. The negotiations have dragged on for months but there is still no sign that an agreement is on the horizon between the player and the Merseyside giants.

Salah is being chased by several big European sides such as Barcelona and Saudi Pro League sides are prepared to offer massive contracts to take him to the Middle East in the summer.

While there is no agreement over a new deal, the forward has prioritised staying at Liverpool over other options and wants the club to offer him a new contract that he can sign.

The attacker is prepared to accept the current wages as long as Liverpool are prepared to offer him a three-year deal, which so far the club are reluctant to do.

Salah wants Liverpool to treat his achievements at the club with a certain level of respect and is keen to see the new deal reflect his importance to the team.

There has been talk of an agreement being close but so far, there is still no sign that Salah is anywhere near signing a new deal with the club.

The agent drops cryptic post around the Salah contract talks

Various claims and counter-claims are being made regarding how close or far the forward is to signing a new deal at Liverpool.

While some have suggested that the two sides are far apart from agreeing on a deal, others have claimed that there is a willingness to finalise an agreement on both sides.

Can you name the team Liverpool sold these players to?

Ramy Abbas Issa, Salah’s agent, has now chimed in to shut down all the talk around the negotiations and claimed that no one has a clue about what they are talking about.

He reposted an old post on X, which read: “FYI – all those ‘journalists’ who imply having ‘inside information’ about Mohamed’s future are making claims/posts based on absolutely nothing. Just click-whoring.

“‘Sources close to Mohamed’ don’t exist. This post is really just to tell you that they don’t know.”

Salah has been excused from representing Egypt in the international break and Liverpool could use this opportunity to hold talks with him and his agent in the coming days.
