Liverpool are looking forward to the winter transfer window with optimism after a solid start to the season under new manager Arne Slot.
Slot would have hoped for more support last summer from the club hierarchy in his first transfer window as Liverpool manager.
However, the Dutchman quickly got over the fact that he couldn’t sign the defensive midfielder he wanted and went about looking for solutions within the squad.
The new Liverpool boss has made the most of the options he has in the squad and has turned Ryan Gravenberch into a top number 6 this season.
However, Liverpool want to spend funds in the winter window and are keen to do better than what they did in the summer.
Signing a midfielder is on their agenda but the Reds are remaining open to marker opportunities including the prospect of adding to their attack.
Liverpool are looking at a loan option in Spain
Real Madrid have their eyes on Trent Alexander-Arnold and are keen to snare him away from Anfield on a free transfer next summer.
However, the Reds also have their eyes on a player at the Santiago Bernabeu and according to Fanatik, Guler is a player the Merseyside giants admire.
The teenage winger joined Real Madrid from Fenerbahce last year but is yet to establish himself as a regular in Carlo Ancelotti’s side.
He has made just three starts in La Liga this season and there are claims that Real Madrid are open to loaning him out.
Fenerbahce, Girona and Bayer Leverkusen are considering making a loan swoop for Guler in the winter transfer window.
Liverpool are also interested in the winger and are set to table a loan offer for him in January.
However, the Reds are likely to insist on having an option to buy in any loan agreement for Guler.
It remains to be seen whether Real Madrid are willing to give up on Guler at his stage.
