It has been no secret that Liverpool are expecting possible big name departures from Anfield in the near future.
Despite all the news and rumours surrounding the team, Arne Slot has done a fantastic job this season. The Dutchman has guided the Reds to the top of the Premier League and also the Champions League group phase. As of January, Liverpool are firmly in contention for all trophies. But they will have to overturn a 1-0 deficit in the League Cup second leg against Tottenham.
Recent results against Manchester United and Nottingham Forest have raised concerns among Liverpool fans. Most think the club needs to add a few new faces if they are to challenge for every trophy in the coming months.

It has been no secret that the major news around Anfield has been the future of three of the club’s best players. Mohammed Salah, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Virgil Van Dijk have not agreed to new deals, and as of this month, are free to negotiate with other clubs to join as free agents.
Salah in particular has made the most waves with his comments in recent weeks. The forward has been the driving force behind Liverpool’s campaign so far, with 18 goals and 13 assists this season. The 32-year old made it clear that this could be his last season at Anfield:
“Honestly, it’s in my head,” he told Sky Sports. “Until now, this is the last City game I will play for Liverpool, so I was just going to enjoy it.
“The atmosphere was incredible, so I will enjoy every second here. Hopefully, we just win the league and will see what will happen.

Salah could replace Neymar in Saudi Arabia
This week, Al Hilal confirmed that Brazilian superstar forward Neymar will not be registered for the second half of the campaign due to injury and fitness issues. This has led to speculation that the former Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain forward will not be at the club in the near future.
Al Hilal boss Jorge Jesus then raised eyebrows when he mentioned that the Saudi side will be looking at star names like Mohamed Salah to replace the Brazilian:
“Mo Salah or other big players will not come this winter… but maybe next season,” Jesus told reporters when asked about his team’s transfer plans. It remains to be seen if Liverpool do renew Salah’s contract and cash in on him in the summer, or they allow him to walk for free.
