Mohamed Salah goes on explosive rant after being benched by Arne Slot

Mohamed Salah’s days at Liverpool could be numbered after the forward’s recent comments following the Reds’ 3-3 draw with Leeds United on Saturday.

Salah has plunged Liverpool into a full-blown crisis, declaring his relationship with manager Arne Slot is finished and accusing the club of throwing him “under the bus” in an astonishing post-match interview.

The Egyptian icon, benched for a third consecutive Premier League game, unleashed seven minutes of fury that threatens to damage his status as a legend at Anfield.

The 33-year-old winger also stated that next weekend’s home game against Brighton could be his farewell.

“Thrown me under the bus”, Salah lashes out at Liverpool hierarchy

“It seems like the club has thrown me under the bus. That is how I am feeling,” Salah told reporters in a deliberately sought-out interview.

“I think it is very clear that someone wanted me to get all of the blame.”

When pressed on who he believed was responsible, Salah was unequivocal about the breakdown with his head coach.

“I said many times before that I had a good relationship with the manager, and all of a sudden we don’t have any relationship,” he said.

When asked directly if the relationship was broken, he confirmed, “Yeah, there’s no relationship between us.”

Mohamed Salah feels contract promises from June have been broken

Salah’s anger stems from a perceived breach of trust after signing a new two-year contract last April. He revealed he received assurances about his role that have not been kept.

“I got a lot of promises in the summer, and so far I am on the bench for three games, so I can’t say they keep the promise,” he stated.

This public mutiny represents a monumental challenge to Slot’s authority. The Dutch manager, already under severe pressure due to Liverpool’s faltering title defence, now faces a standoff with the club’s most iconic modern player.

Salah’s status as a fan idol means the manager cannot simply dismiss the outburst.

Has Mohamed Salah played his last game for Liverpool?

The situation has deteriorated so rapidly that Salah has instructed his family to attend the Brighton match as a potential goodbye. “I will be in Anfield to say goodbye to the fans and go to the Africa Cup of Nations,” he revealed. “I don’t know what is going to happen when I am there.”

Financially, the path is now clear for Salah’s long-awaited move to the Saudi Pro League.

The Egyptian sidestepped direct questions about the interest from Saudi Arabia but did concede that his future is uncertain.

His admission that he does not regret signing his new contract only deepens the sense of betrayal he feels from the club’s current direction.

For a club that prides itself on handling disputes internally, Salah’s decision to air such devastating grievances publicly is a watershed moment that signals a point of no return.

With the player joining Egypt for the Africa Cup of Nations in mid-December, the coming days at Anfield will be dominated by one question: has Salah already played his last game for Liverpool?
