£100M rated star will only join Liverpool on one condition

Liverpool have lined up a marquee signing for this summer.

The reds are on course to win the treble this season. Before the campaign began, no one tipped Arne Slot to challenge for any silverware. When Jurgen Klopp left, there was no optimism that the team would be competitive. Slot has exceeded all expectations so far.

The Dutch coach has transformed the team this year. Some players have reignited their career at Anfield under Slot. Cody Gakpo is having his best season at the club, and Ryan Gravenberch is a Player of the season candidate.

Liverpool are top of the Premier League with seven points. The reds are also in the League Cup final next month. Slot will know his opponent in the Champions League in the coming weeks.

Liverpool have been a very well coached team this season. Arne Slot’s style has allowed the team to be good in attack and defence. When it comes to goals, the burden has often fallen on Mohamed Salah who has 22 in the league this season. The next highest are Cody Gakpo and Luis Diaz on eight goals. Diaz has not scored a league goal since the end of December. The third highest goal scorer for Liverpool in the Premier League is Diogo Jota with five goals.

The attack has been a clear problem this season. Whenever Salah has been out of the team there has been a serious struggle to score. This has not been helped with the lack of a striker. Darwin Nunez has been out of favour with Arne Slot, who prefers Diogo Jota and Luis Diaz up top.

TEAMtalk has reported that Alexander Isak is interested in a move to Liverpool. The reds also hold an interest in signing the Newcastle striker. Isak would be available for a premium fee, with Newcastle valuing him around £100-150million. The striker has a huge decision on his hands; Newcastle want him to sign a new deal. Arsenal are also in the race to sign the forward, who has 17 Premier League goals this campaign.

Alexander Isak has made it clear that he wants to play in the Champions League next season. This gives Liverpool the upper hand, if the Magpies fail to qualify this year.

Isak should be priority this summer

With Liverpool set to sell Darwin Nunez and possibly Diogo Jota, the club should have enough money to invest in Isak. The price tag is high, but for a talent who can score 20 Premier League goals a season, he is worth it. Arne Slot cannot go another season without a quality recognized striker up top.
